Early 2017 a team of leading Magento core architects has started a new form of worldwide community involvement to speed innovation at the Magento 2 core.

At the Contribution Days events all over the world you can learn directly from Magento core developers about how to contribute resolving bugs and create new features. Currently thousands of community developers are working on different projects:

Together with James Zetlen, one of the PWA-Studio Architects, we will mainly work on tools to build, optimize and deploy Progressive Web Applications for Magento 2.3.

Ben has been developing in PHP since the days of osCommerce in 2003. He has been developing, educating, and evangelizing Magento since 2008.

Anton Kril

Director of Architecture - Magento, an Adobe Company

Anton Kril joined Magento eight years ago as a Magento 1 core developer. He participated in the early stages of Magento 2 development and currently leads the Magento architecture team.

Igor Miniailo

Lead Architect Commerce - Magento, an Adobe Company

Igor has been working for Magento for the past 8 years. He designed such functionality as Magento 2 Search and Async operations. He also has been involved in many general stuff routines as Magento 2 Service Contracts and performance optimizations on different levels.

James Zetlen

Frontend Architect, PWA Studio - Magento, an Adobe Company

James supervises frontend development best practices and helps to lead projects like Magento PWA Studio. Being a ninja-in-mind, he cut through the Knockout-swamp of Magento 2 quickly and designed a more flexible toolbox so that developers don't need to build PWAs from scratch. He has also done frontend and developer tooling work at PayPal, Volusion, and Blackbaud.

Eugene Shakhsuvarov

Software Architect, MSI Project - Magento, an Adobe Company

Eugene started a professional career in 2005 and since then he gained various experience in architecting, development, deployment, evangelization of software, people management, and technical leadership

Oleksii Korshenko

Head of Magento Open Source Programs, Community Engineering

Oleksii started his career with Magento more than 8 years ago as a Senior Core Engineer on the Magento 2.0 project. He had a unique opportunity of participating in the first core development team that worked on establishing Magento 2.x framework. Later, Oleksii joined Magento 2 Architects team and was working on framework improvements and scalability features. Currently, Oleksii is a Head of the Magento Community Engineering team and working to improve Magento development ecosystem, both externally and internally to make Magento Community driven.

Oleksandr Lyzun

Magento Technical Team Lead - Comwrap

Oleksandr Lyzun is the Magento Technical Team Leader at comwrap and joined the company in 2015. In the last 10 years of working with Magento, he developed, led and put live numerous Magento projects. In addition to that, he successfully completed the Magento Developer-, Magento 1- and 2 Solution Specialist Сertifications.
